This guide shows admins and principal users how to delete users from their organization's account.
When a user is deleted, all data associated with this user is permanently deleted and any files submitted by that user are removed from all repositories. It is not possible to transfer ownership of their folders and/or submission uploads to another user. Anyone with shared access to the folder may open the Similarity Report and download a PDF to save a copy if needed.
Deleting a single user
Navigate to any Users page using the Main Menu sidebar on the left of the screen.
Select the three dot menu to the right of the user and select the Delete option. Alternatively, you can select Edit, and choose the Delete User button at the bottom of the Edit user page.
Select the Confirm button.
Deleting multiple users
From any Users page, select the checkboxes next to the users you wish to delete.
Up to 250 users can be selected and deleted at one time. To select all users on the page, choose the checkbox at the top of the Name column.
- Choose the Delete option from the top of the list.
- Type the word 'DELETE' into the dialog, then select the Delete button.
